WASHINGTON D.C.  La decisión de hoy de la Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos, que, según los informes, podría otorgar a Trump una amplia inmunidad judicial, es una afrenta al principio de legalidad.

“Todos pagamos el precio cuando un político puede pisotear nuestros valores e instituciones más fundamentales para su propio beneficio personal, con impunidad. Esta decisión hace que Donald Trump y la posibilidad de su reelección sean mucho más amenazantes. El electorado merece saber si alguien que se presenta a estas elecciones es culpable de intentar derrocar las elecciones anteriores. En lugar de eso, la decisión de hoy de la Corte Suprema prepara el camino para una dictadura que nos arrebatará nuestras libertades, todo ello respaldado por un poder judicial que el propio Trump formó con jueces elegidos personalmente. Ya es suficiente. En noviembre, debemos estar preparados para defendernos de su agenda despiadada. Debemos elegir a Joe Biden y Kamala Harris.
