Planned Parenthood Votes Launches Paid Advertisement Ahead of First Presidential Debate
For Immediate Release: June 27, 2024
"Credit" highlights Donald Trump’s dangerous record on abortion
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ahead of tonight’s debate, Planned Parenthood Votes launched its first paid digital video ad buy of the 2024 general presidential election. The ad, “Credit,” highlights the stark contrast between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump on abortion rights. Voters have a clear choice: Between Donald Trump, who repeatedly brags about overturning Roe v. Wade, and says he’d allow states to monitor and punish pregnant people. Or reproductive rights champion President Joe Biden, who understands that politicians have no place in people’s personal medical decisions.
“Credit” will run in key states including Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania on streaming services, and social media, and will target liberal women and influencers. The initial ad buy follows the launch of the “We Decide” electoral program earlier this week.
“Donald Trump will say and do anything to get elected – including partnering with his MAGA allies who want to ban abortion nationwide. We won’t let them win,” said Planned Parenthood Votes Executive Director, Jenny Lawson. “Our new ad makes it abundantly clear who is to blame for our current abortion access crisis: Donald Trump.”
“Credit” Transcript:
Donald Trump is bragging about taking away our rights. Taking credit for ending Roe v Wade…Saying it was a miracle…And he’s proud to have done it. And that was just step one. He’d allow states to criminalize patients and doctors. And said he’d sign a national abortion ban passed by anti-abortion politicians in Congress. President Joe Biden is committed to protecting our rights. And so are we. Join us to stop Trump—because when we decide, freedom wins.
