PHOENIX, AZ — Senate candidate Kari Lake has been crisscrossing Arizona to talk to voters, but there’s one thing she’s not talking about: abortion. Why, you might ask?

Lake is following this year’s playbook — where long-standing abortion opponents avoid any mention of abortion in an effort to hide their unpopular stances and manipulate voters. She knows that her out-of-touch views don't align with the majority of Arizonans and could cost her the election — so she’s clamming up and dodging questions.

We can’t let Kari Lake off the hook for her dangerous views. Just look at them:

  • Lake expressed disappointment that Arizona’s attorney general would not enforce the state’s 1864 total abortion ban, just days after claiming she opposed the ban.
  • Lake praised the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which allowed state lawmakers to strip Arizonans of their reproductive freedom by enacting a 15-week abortion ban, thanking Donald Trump for paving the way for that devastating decision.
  • Lake has tried to spin her anti-abortion record by saying the issue has "already been sent back to the states,” echoing a popular talking point among anti-abortion rights politicians.
  • Lake has called abortion “the ultimate sin” and called this essential health care “demonic.”
  • Lake shared she would “very much support” banning abortion pills in Arizona, despite medical evidence that mifepristone is safe and necessary reproductive health care.

Don’t forget what Kari Lake has said about interfering with Arizonans’ reproductive freedom. Arizona voters sure won’t.
