Learn More About the Riverside County LGBTQ+ Student Safety Coalition

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest and community partners are working together to protect LGBTQ+ students across Riverside County. Our coalition believes schools should be safe spaces for learning regardless of students’ sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. All youth deserve affirming and inclusive spaces to learn, thrive, and be themselves — free from harmful anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and policies that violate their rights and negatively impact their mental health. Stay up to date on our local activism, and join our efforts!

How to Get Involved:

In October 2023, we sent a letter to the Riverside County Board of Education showing our commitment to LGBTQ+ students, and our opposition to the discrimination and misinformation used to propose, implement, and enforce harmful and dangerous anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-trans policies in our schools and communities.  Click here to read our letter.
