Planned Parenthood Great Rivers Action (formerly Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri) is not just taking action to achieve reproductive freedom in the greater St. Louis area and Missouri Ozarks, but throughout the region. Like the rivers that run through our region and beyond, we are committed to fighting with and for people near and far who believe in a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities. No matter what.

    Missourians voted to end Missouri’s total abortion ban. What’s next?

    Missouri voters passed Amendment 3, the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative — officially rejecting Missouri’s total abortion ban and enshrining the right to abortion, birth control, respectful birthing conditions, and more in the Missouri Constitution.

    Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR) will soon provide abortion again in Missouri and is awaiting approval of its medication abortion complication plan from the State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in order to reach full compliance with the state’s remaining requirements. Once approved, PPGR will offer medication abortion starting in St. Louis.

    Currently, you can access medication and procedural abortion at Planned Parenthood in Fairview Heights, Illinois, and at multiple locations in Kansas. Comprehensive Health of Planned Parenthood Great Plains is now booking procedural abortion appointments in Missouri at Midtown KC and Columbia health centers.
