Volunteering with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Nebraska ahead of the election is a powerful way to make a tangible impact on the future of reproductive rights in Nebraska. By educating and mobilizing voters, we can help elect champions who will protect and expand access to reproductive health care for all. This year, abortion is on the ballot in Nebraska, and it is critical that we show up and show out for reproductive freedom at the ballot box and we need your help!

Nebraska's legislature plays a critical role in determining access to reproductive health care, including abortion rights, comprehensive sex education, and affordable contraceptive options. With growing political pressure to restrict these rights, it's vital to ensure that our elected officials reflect the values of the majority of Nebraskans who support reproductive freedom.

Volunteering with PPAN is not just about supporting a cause—it's about being part of a movement. It's about standing up for the right to make personal decisions about our bodies and futures. By getting involved, you help amplify the voices of the majority of Nebraskans who support abortion access.

Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to regular volunteer shifts, your time and energy are invaluable. Nebraskans are on our side, but we need volunteers to reach more Nebraskans to explain the stakes of this election and mobilize them for reproductive freedom.

We need senators who will stand up for reproductive rights, and your volunteer efforts can help elect these champions. By volunteering with PPAN, you directly contribute to campaigns that prioritize health care access and reproductive freedom.

This election, we are focused on engaging directly with voters, and we want to reward you for the more time and work you put in. Earn swag for each shift you complete, with more exclusive swag as you complete more shifts. Bring your friends along to earn matching swag and to multiply your impact. Let’s review how you can get involved:

  • Canvassing: Join canvassing efforts to reach voters in person. Talking to community members door-to-door in your not only helps spread the word about the candidates and issues on the ballot, but also builds a sense of solidarity among those who support reproductive freedom. Personal interactions at the door are the most effective way to motivate voters to show up at the polls.
  • Phone Banking: Engage directly with voters through phone banking efforts. This allows you to have meaningful conversations with your neighbors about what's at stake in this election. You can answer questions, share critical information about candidates, and encourage people to get to the polls.

Every phone call, every door knocked, and every conversation held can make a difference. Together, we can ensure that the Nebraska legislature reflects our shared values and protects the reproductive rights of all.

In this critical moment, your voice—and your actions—are more important than ever. Let's work together to educate voters, mobilize our communities, and elect leaders who will fight for reproductive freedom in Nebraska. Your involvement is crucial—let's make history together.
