St. Louis - Today, Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (Advocates) announced key electoral endorsements in Missouri for this election cycle. As many politicians across the state continue their assault on abortion and broader sexual and reproductive health care, Missourians have an opportunity to elect pro-reproductive health champions who will work to ensure all people can access critical health care. Advocates is endorsing champions who will fight for patients’ reproductive rights, health care, and ability to make their own decisions.

Statement from Richard Muniz, Interim President and CEO, Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri

“Despite the majority of Missourians supporting sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion, extremist politicians continue to attack the care Missourians want and need. Advocates is proud to endorse pro-reproductive freedom candidates — elected officials who have stood their ground in the fight for compassionate policies that reflect the reality of their constituents’ needs. As Missourians vote to enshrine abortion rights in our constitution this fall, we must also elect leaders who will continue to fight for sexual and reproductive health and rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and racial equity for every single Missourian.

“Advocates of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri wholeheartedly endorses these dedicated and hardworking Missouri leaders, each with a strong track record of defending sexual and reproductive health care. Through November, we are committed to mobilizing our supporters to turn out the vote for these candidates and, post-election, we are committed to fighting alongside these leaders to build a future where every Missourian controls their own bodies, lives, and futures.”
