NEW YORK, NY – This June for Pride Month, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Action Fund is proud to support the Equal Rights Amendment, which will guarantee protections for the health care access of queer and trans New Yorkers. As a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health care and rights for LGBTQ+ communities in all their diversity, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Action Fund has played a critical role in advancing progressive legislation that empowers people with the freedom to control their own bodies, lives, and futures.

With sexual and gender-affirming care and LGBTQ+ rights under attack nationwide, this Pride month is a critical opportunity to galvanize our communities and take bold action for the health, safety, and dignity of queer and trans New Yorkers. That’s why Planned Parenthood of Greater New York proudly supports the Equal Rights Amendment to combat extremism, certify our rights, and ensure that New York leads in safeguarding our bodily autonomy and LGBTQ+ rights. Throughout the month of June, PPGNY Action Fund will be organizing throughout the state to raise awareness about this revolutionary ballot measure.
Through community partnerships, advocacy, and care initiatives based on achieving health equity, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Action Fund will continue to work to dismantle barriers to access for trans and queer people and fight for the continued expansion of life-altering health services for all the members of our LGBTQ+ communities. Protecting and expanding queer and trans health care throughout New York is at the core of our mission. Queer and trans health care is core to a robust and effective reproductive health, rights, and justice agenda.
