The Stakes

We’re not going back. We have the power to secure our rights.

For politicians who oppose abortion, ending Roe v. Wade was just a warm-up lap. The end goal has always been full control of our bodies and our medical decisions, nationwide. Abortion, IVF, birth control. It’s all on the table.

We’re watching our friends’ rights be stripped away with dangerous consequences in neighboring states. Thanks to Planned Parenthood champions securing power in Minnesota last election, our rights have been protected while others have been decimated. That progress must be protected this fall.

We decide our futures, not out-of-touch politicians. This election we’re taking control and voting for leaders who will protect the right to safe and legal abortion.

Lead with Values

67% of Minnesotans agree that abortion should be legal in all or most cases. By a wide majority, our friends and neighbors agree: Every Minnesotan should get the health care they need, including abortion care, without politicians controlling when, where, or why.

Everyone should have the freedom to control their own bodies, lives, and futures.

When we lead with values statements, we bring people together. In Minnesota, we know that every pregnancy is different, which is why every person must be able to make their own decisions about what is best for them, including whether or not to get an abortion, without barriers or political interference.

Share Your Story

Personal stories are powerful tools for change. Sharing your experience with reproductive health care can humanize the issue and highlight the real-world impact of restrictive abortion laws. Your voice can help educate others, bust stigma, and advocate for the critical health care that Planned Parenthood provides to your community members.

A word when talking about a national ban. Politicians who want to ban abortion will call it a “consensus.”

Abortion is on the ballot in 2024. If politicians against abortion get control in DC, they will institute a national abortion ban.

Americans agree: At no point in pregnancy is a politician more qualified to make decisions about health than a patient and their health care providers. Politicians do not have the expertise to make decisions about abortion.
