Concord, N.H. - Today the Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund PAC announced their endorsements for New Hampshire State Senate candidates. Every endorsed candidate has pledged to protect and expand access to the full range of reproductive health care – including safe, legal abortion - in the Granite State or has a strong record of doing so. The endorsements come following a legislative biennium that was defined by a number of attacks on sexual and reproductive health care.

For New Hampshire Senate, the PPNHAF PAC endorses the following candidates:

  • Senate District 1: Rusty Talbot
  • Senate District 2: Carlos Cardona
  • Senate District 3: Bill Marsh
  • Senate District 4: Senator David Watters
  • Senate District 5: Senator Suzanne Prentiss
  • Senate District 7: Stu Green
  • Senate District 8: David Trumble
  • Senate District 9: Matthew McLaughlin
  • Senate District 10: Senator Donovan Fenton
  • Senate District 11: Senator Shannon Chandley
  • Senate District 12: Ben Ming
  • Senate District 13: Senator Cindy Rosenwald
  • Senate District 15: Tara Reardon
  • Senate District 17: Kelly Roberts
  • Senate District 18: Senator Donna Soucy
  • Senate District 20: Pat Long
  • Senate District 21: Senator Rebecca Perkins Kwoka
  • Senate District 22: Wayne Haubner
  • Senate District 23: Brenda Oldak
  • Senate District 24: Senator Debra Altschiller

Statement from Dr. Lydia Garcia, PPNHAF PAC Advisory Board:

"The Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund PAC is proud to endorse this strong slate of candidates for the New Hampshire State Senate. With the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and grant state politicians unprecedented power to control our bodies and futures, who we elect to represent us in New Hampshire’s legislature has never been more important.

Granite Staters overwhelmingly believe in access to abortion care, and it’s critical that our state senators are committed to protecting and expanding reproductive health care. Over the past two years, anti-abortion politicians in the State House attempted to push through several abortion bans and other attacks on bodily autonomy. Enough is enough. Granite Staters deserve better, and the candidates endorsed by the PPNHAF PAC will work together to protect and expand reproductive freedom in New Hampshire—no matter what."

    • A survey from Breakthrough Campaigns conducted on behalf of Amplify NH shows that a supermajority of Granite Staters - 87% - support reproductive freedom and 64% of Granite Staters expect state elected officials to protect or expand abortion access in New Hampshire. Just 11% of Granite Staters want more abortion restrictions in the state.
    • In a 50-state survey, PRRI found most Americans oppose abortion ban policies; 69% of Granite Staters believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases.
    • August 2022 polling by the Saint Anselm College Survey Center found that support for abortion rights in New Hampshire is at a historic high and nearly 6 in 10 voters disapproved of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
