DENVER, CO – The following statement was released today, October 6, and is attributed to Vicki Cowart, President & CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund (PPRM-AF):

"The vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court sends a clear and disconcerting message to women across the country. Each vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh was a vote to dismiss the serious concerns of the majority of Americans, and a vote to ignore and invalidate the experiences of survivors of sexual violence. But make no mistake - we are prepared to respond in November. We are committed to fighting for the basic rights of all individuals to access the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion care, and to make decisions about what happens to their bodies. These rights are non-negotiable, and we're ready to remind our elected officials exactly where we stand."
