Abortion is on the ballot.

Bans on any health care put politics above people and put our futures on the line. Mark Robinson, the Republican nominee for governor, and leaders of our state legislature won't stop until they eliminate our right to bodily autonomy.

 Josh Stein (D)

Josh Stein has served as the Attorney General of North Carolina since 2017. He previously served as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the 16th district located in Wake County. Josh Stein is a longtime advocate of reproductive health and rights.

As Governor, I will continue to defend women’s reproductive freedoms, whether it’s access to contraception, IVF, or abortion. These are deeply personal decisions that should be made by a woman and her doctor – not by a bunch of politicians in Raleigh, certainly not by Mark Robinson.

 Mark Robinson (R)

Mark Robinson currently serves as the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina and has a long history of advocating for discriminatory policies, including vocal support for a total abortion ban.

“If I had all the power right now, let’s say I was the governor, I had a willing legislature, we could pass a bill that says you can’t have an abortion in North Carolina for any reason,"

Mark Robinson, February 2023

But it's not just Mark Robinson who has attacked our right to reproductive health care.

When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, it opened the floodgates for hostile politicians to restrict or ban abortion access. North Carolina lawmakers rushed to pass a dangerous abortion ban, eliminating care after an arbitrary point in pregnancy. This ban included even more restrictions on abortion care and further decimating access.

The majority of North Carolinians support access to safe, legal abortion and we deserve better than lawmakers who want to strip away our right to bodily autonomy.

Tricia Cotham Betrayed Us.

Tricia Cotham Betrayed Us.

Tricia Cotham Betrayed Us.

Tricia Cotham promised to fight against any restriction denying us the right to basic health care. Instead, she flip-flopped and was the deciding vote to pass an extreme ban on abortion at 12 weeks. Pregnant people are forced to travel out of state to access abortion, seek care outside the medical or system, or remain pregnant against their will⎯and Tricia Cotham is directly to blame.

Ted Davis Lied.

Ted Davis Lied.

Ted Davis Lied.

Ted Davis said he wouldn't support changes to North Carolina's abortion law. Instead, he cast one of the deciding votes to pass a dangerous abortion ban. North Carolinians who need an abortion after 12 weeks are forced to travel out of state, seek care outside the health care system, or remain pregnant against their will ⎯ and Ted is to blame.

Erin Paré is Dangerous!

Erin Paré is Dangerous!

Erin Paré is Dangerous!

Erin Paré is only committed to one thing, and it's eliminating your rights, one by one. Not only has she voted to criminalize doctors in North Carolina, but she had a pivotal role in upending abortion access in our state and, thus, across the South. We deserve better than politicians who don't care about us.

Michael Lee is Extreme.

Michael Lee is Extreme.

Michael Lee is Extreme.

Michael Lee has voted to restrict abortion access SIX TIMES, most recently voting in favor of North Carolina's extreme abortion ban. Not only have his actions devastated our communities, but he is directly responsible for upending abortion access in North Carolina, and thus across the South. We deserve better than extremist politicians like him.

Donate to Elect Champions of Reproductive Freedom:

The future of abortion access has been handed to state legislatures to the detriment of many states across the South. It is critical that we elect champions of reproductive health and rights who are committed to protecting our bodily autonomy.
