WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following this evening’s presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, Planned Parenthood Action Fund President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson issued the following statement:

“Tonight, it was again made clear that there is only one candidate running for president that would fight to protect our reproductive freedom. Her name is Kamala Harris.

“While former President Donald Trump dipped and dodged answering whether he’d sign a national abortion ban and continued to spew lies about abortion care, Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed her commitment to doing everything in her power to ensure we have the right to control our own bodies, lives, and futures. That’s why the Planned Parenthood Action Fund will do everything we can to send her to the White House, where we trust that she will work on behalf of the majority of Americans who support the right to abortion. With 56 days until the election, the choice voters have couldn’t be starker.”
