Bans Off Our Bodies Walkout: July 13, 2022

On Wednesday, July 13, corporate executives, employees, supporters, and other partners will walk out to show their support of abortion providers and staff. Join people across the U.S. and say thank you to providers and staff — while these essential workers respond to the immediate abortion crisis.

If you are able to leave work, join your peers across the country in a national walkout on Wednesday, July 13.

The end of Roe v. Wade is not business as usual. Stripping people of their right to abortion will have dangerous consequences. This ruling harms people of all genders, incomes, and backgrounds  — including workers, businesses, and the economy. It jeopardizes the future of work and each worker’s future.

Now is the time to use your platform and your influence to support reproductive rights, and members of the business community are speaking out by walking out.

Let's make it clear that we won’t back down — not now, not ever.

The Bans Off Our Bodies Walkout is a national day of action to amplify the fight for abortion rights across the U.S., show support for abortion providers, and set the stage for actions over the next few months.

HOW TO TAKE ACTION:

On Wednesday, July 13, we invite you to show your support by participating in the following ways:

  • WALK OUT from work on July 13 at 4 p.m. local time.
For those who are able to leave work, walkout participants will turn on an out-of-office message explaining that they have joined folks across the country in leaving work early to call attention to abortion rights. On top of the out-of-office message, participants will post a graphic and caption to their social channels about the walkout.

  • POST in solidarity with walkout participants and abortion providers.
For those who are not able to leave work early, participants will post a graphic and caption to their social channels on July 13 at 4:00 p.m. local time in solidarity with walkout participants and abortion providers. Use the hashtags #WeWontBackDown and #BansOffOurBodies.

  • AMPLIFY the campaign message — re-share, like, comment, or share your own experiences and perspective on why reproductive rights and abortion access areis so important and should remain protected.
