Why: Empower yourself with the knowledge and skills to advocate for reproductive freedom! Join us to gain a better understanding of effective communication around abortion rights, receive training on canvassing and phone banking techniques, learn more about key races and issues relevant to reproductive rights, and gain resources to engage fellow voters.
Orange County Pride Festival
When: Saturday, October 5, 2024
Where: OC Fair & Event Center, Costa Mesa
Why: As we continue to fight back against those who wish to move this country backwards, we reaffirm our commitment to building a world where no one experiences discrimination or violence because of their gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to march in the parade and help us at our booth.
Canvassing Trip
When: October 2024
Where: This trip will be out-of-state, exact location to come upon RSVP
Why: Spend a weekend with Planned Parenthood in canvassing to elect pro-reproductive freedom candidates in the upcoming election! Transportation, hotel, and meals will be provided at no cost to you. We will also provide all training, resources, and support you may need to canvass, no experience necessary! Volunteers must be 18+ to attend.
Help Elect Local Champions
When: Leading up to Election Day (exact dates to be announced)
Why: Join us to help Get Out the Vote to elect local pro-reproductive freedom candidates in the upcoming election! As we get closer to election season, we will share additional information about our GOTV efforts.

Past Events
Fontana City Council Activations
Local advocates have joined the Community Action Fund at a number of Fontana City Council meetings to show support for the construction of a new Planned Parenthood health center in the city. The Fontana City Council has halted permits for the completion of the health center for over a year, blocking more than 2,000 patients every month from receiving reproductive health care.
Capitol Day
Each year, the Community Action Fund invites members of the community to travel to Sacramento and speak with elected officials on important reproductive rights issues. In 2024, more than 50 advocates showed up to make their voices heard.
Bans Off Abortion Rally
In May of 2022, the Community Action Fund hosted a rally for advocates to gather and raise their voices against the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade. More than 1,500 people gathered in Santa Ana to hear from local elected officials, and special guest speaker Eleni Kounalakis, Lieutenant Governor of California.
Attendees enjoyed live art installations, photo opportunities, and left with pins, buttons, bags, and shirts to show off their support for abortion rights and Planned Parenthood.
